Accommodation and Facilities

Alternative House Care Home houses sixteen bedrooms, with each room containing a single bed, television and wardrobe with plenty of storage space. All bedrooms are double glazed and centrally heated.

All rooms are en-suite, with bathrooms designed for those with mobility issues. They also feature modern fixtures and fittings.

Each room is a quiet, relaxing space for you to make completely your own. We encourage all residents to personalise their rooms with mementos and ornaments.

Our aim is to make you feel at home.

We have twenty-two rooms in total, including

• A comfortable living room – Residents are free to use the living room as they please. Relax with a good book, chat with friends, play games or simply enjoy the lovely surroundings.
• A dining room – Dining is very much a time for all the residents to enjoy their favourite meals and socialise!
• Beautiful Orangery – Look out onto the beautiful grounds in our stunning orangery.
• Hair Salon – One of our favourite rooms! A fully equipped hair salon will make you look and feel great before you join us for one of our many activities!

Alternative Therapy

Uniquely, the Alternative House Care Home in Blackburn offers its residents access to an array of alterative therapies including Hand Massage, Manicure and Indian Head Massage.
